This cycad grows to approximately 15 feet tall, with individual leaves to 8 feet long. Hailing from the island of Luzon in the Philippines, this declining, endangered species is down to 1000 to 5000 mature individuals in just five locations. It grows well in warmer parts of Florida. I snapped these photos on June 6, 2017, at the Palm Arboretum in St. Pete. It shows a two foot tall developing inflorescence... amazing, huh?
