August 28, 2109 - REPORT FROM THE ROAD - BRADENTON: Every month or two I head out and do a "Bradenton Loop." I live a one hour drive inland from the beaches of Florida's west coast and love visiting the ocean now and then. I stop at a health food store or two, hike a park, visit a gardener if possible, deliver some plants, and hit some thrift stores. Today was the best thrifting day of the decade for me (and I have been to loads of them). I met a lovely old woman who is a potter and a gardener and she kindly invitied me over for lunch some time soon. I also met this young guy from Bangladesh who knew all sorts of things about his native plant foods - bazoom! Time on Cortez Beach was really fun. Here is a photo...
